Cool, thanks for the info. It sounds like the J&S is a valuable tool for max power dyno tuning at WOT. IMO where the stock system is really useful is for street driving, most notably on the highway at partial throttle under boost. Weather conditions, heat soaking, hills, wind, and altitude all play a part in engine loading and heat production, and the OEM system uses the knock system to very effectively eliminate knock under these dynamic conditions.
